On Feb. 12, 1985, Maine State Police Barry Shuman took a statement from Paul Pollard at a Massachusetts Police Dept. Pollard told Shuman that he, his half-brother Lionel Cormier and Percy Sargent drove to the burned cottage. He said Cormier and Sargent  talked on the way down wondering why the cops hadn't found Mike's body yet.

During the same statement Pollard also told Shuman that while they were at the murder scene Cormier and Sargent pawed around in the rubble kicking things around looking for Mike's body.
