Det. Shuman's statement of what he says Paul Pollard told him while he was in jail at the Penobscot County jail for reckless conduct w/a dangerous weapon. The last paragraph in the statement is false information by Shuman.

The arrest report below states that Pollard went to the Bangor PD to get his rental car back on February 24, 1981 and was arrested for forgery for Waterville, not for an old traffic summons. Shuman's fabrications and protections of Paul Pollard started immediately after Shuman arrived on the arson/murder scene.
