District Attorney David Cox knew the body they had found was Mike before his body was removed from the murder scene and before an autopsy was done on his body. He called the County Sheriff to say that Mike was deceased before his office closed at 4 pm.  According to MSP Allen Jamison's fire report the medical examiner's vehicle didn't leave the murder scene until 1640 (4:40 pm) hours.
